Asynchronous CPE Courses

Participants will learn strategies to address the diverse needs of students in an ICT classroom. The course covers various instructional methods, including flexible grouping, tiered assignments, and individualized learning plans to support all learners. It will also cover how to utilize data analytics tools to analyze assessment data from platforms like iReady and MAP in order to effectively plan for small group instruction.

Identify the New Language Arts Progression Levels and NYSESLAT Performance Level Descriptions by grade, and explore resources for 21st century and dual language support for EBs.

Break down information into smaller (15 minutes or fewer long) learning activities; scaffolding from large concept to smaller details within each unit; color-coding or using other organizational aids for each topic within each subject area; practicing skills in varied formats (words, pictures, gestures); providing immediate feedback; using a variety of instructional software.
