Meet SOLVED

Fresh out of college, Ben Carney taught mathematics in NYC DOE public high schools while earning a Masters in Teaching from Pace University and a Masters in Education Policy from NYU. Embracing differentiation in his teaching, Ben believes in taking personalized learning experiences further for all students. Since 2013, as an Education Consultant, he's focused on personalized learning, collaborating with teachers to modernize math instruction through blended learning models. Recently, Ben expanded SOLVED services, designing over 300 custom school apps, supporting 250+ schools with innovative solutions, and growing the team to 80+ experts.

Matias began his career as an English Language Learner teacher while completing his degree in Theoretical Physics. He later taught Spanish and Math to middle school students before transitioning into administration. Passionate about leveraging data and technology to drive impact in K-12 education, Matias now leads a dynamic and growing team at SOLVED. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, gardening, and playing chess.

Beth began her career in education shortly after graduation from the University of Florida, teaching English Language Arts and American History to fifth grade ESL students in Houston, Texas. She joined the SOLVED team in 2021, where she works closely with the technology development and production teams, driving the creation of impactful tech solutions for school partners. When she’s away from her desk, Beth can be found reading, working on art projects, or exploring her new home of Washington, DC with her partner and dog.

With two decades of experience in finance and operations, Jenniffer has dedicated most of her career to the education industry, specializing in supporting vendors working with the NYC Department of Education. Passionate about efficiency, she helps schools streamline paperwork so they can focus on their core mission: educating NYC’s children. Outside of work, she enjoys gardening and practicing yoga.

Haris has a passion for education and for helping educators and students thrive. As the Director of Product Management at SOLVED, he brings extensive experience in educational technology, specializing in product development, business planning, and production. He has a strong track record of creating online courses and professional development programs that support K-12 education, with a focus on integrating technology with content to enhance user adoption and program effectiveness.

Before joining SOLVED, Haris held senior roles at Rosetta Stone and Scholastic, where he developed successful educational programs and software. He is committed to enhancing professional development opportunities for educators and helping them access the tools they need to excel in the classroom.

Outside of work, Haris sings with a classical music chorus and participates in musical theater.

Gabriel is an engineer who joined SOLVED in 2021 while completing his studies. He collaborates closely with the data dashboard development and production teams, driving impactful and efficient solutions. Passionate about seeing technology projects come to life from start to finish, he thrives on turning ideas into reality. Outside of work, he enjoys exploring new culinary experiences and traveling with friends and family

Harsh Gupta is a dedicated professional who started his career in web design after earning his Bachelor of Commerce degree. He joined SOLVED in 2024 as a Tech Specialist, focusing on building and designing websites for schools. Outside of work, Harsh enjoys playing the drums and traveling to hill stations, drawing inspiration from music and nature. With a strong work ethic and diverse interests, Harsh is always striving to grow both personally and professionally.

Jayant Gupta a.k.a Jay is a Data Specialist at SOLVED Consulting, I apply my data science and analysis skills to help clients solve complex business problems and optimize their performance. I have over three years of experience in data analysis, big data analytics, and data visualization, and I hold multiple certifications from Google and Microsoft. My hobbies include watching cricket & cycling.

Shivam began his career at Microsoft as a Windows Level 2 Support Technician, specializing in Windows Server support. He later transitioned to an Application Engineer role at a Washington-based multinational corporation before embarking on his journey as a freelance website developer. A graduate with a Bachelor’s in Computer Applications, Shivam is now a dedicated website designer and developer at SOLVED. Passionate about learning new technologies, he has completed certifications including AWS Cloud Practitioner and Microsoft System Administrator. He also enjoys exploring spirituality and the dimensions of the mind, cherishing solitude as a time for self-reflection and growth.

Shan is a Salesforce Developer with over three years of experience. He began his IT journey in 2021 after a brief stint in the mechanical field and now specializes in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and third-party integrations. Holding two Salesforce certifications, he has worked on automation, custom workflows, and integrating Salesforce with various third-party applications to enhance functionality and streamline operations for businesses.

A national-level Kho-Kho player and state-level cricketer, Shan thrives on teamwork and strategy—both in sports and development. Outside of work, he enjoys playing cricket and traveling.

Tushar Jain is a skilled website designer with a passion for creating visually appealing and user-friendly digital experiences. When not designing, they enjoy hitting the gym and immersing themselves in captivating fictional books. Always eager to learn and innovate, Tushar Jain brings creativity and dedication to every project.

Aditya is a Web Designer based in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. Creativity and imagination are his greatest strengths. He started his web design career at Solved, where he focused on building websites for NYC DOE schools, combining functionality with engaging visuals. Aditya enjoys crafting digital experiences that are both user-friendly and visually compelling.

When he is not designing, he loves writing songs lyrics, poems, expressing his thoughts through music, and playing basketball. His love for music and storytelling fuels his creativity, influencing both his design work and personal projects.

I began my career in the finance sector in 2015, holding a degree in Commerce and a Postgraduate qualification in Business Analytics. With over 9 years of experience, I have developed a strong foundation in finance, data analytics, and programming, including expertise in Python, Tableau, MySQL, Power BI, Big Data, AWS, Hive Query etc. Additionally, I hold a Level A certification in Spanish. My background also includes client handling, internal audits, leadership, and training, with a focus on mentoring and cultivating a high-performance work culture.

In November 2024, I joined Solved, where I continue to contribute to the organization’s success with my expertise and experience and refine my skills. I am passionate about continuous learning, exploring new technologies, reading, and traveling, which helps me stay adaptable in a dynamic industry.

I began my career as a tuition teacher for kindergarten children while pursuing my Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree. During my studies, I expanded my expertise by teaching English language and personality development skills to individuals of all age groups, including young adults and professionals.

Following this, I transitioned into the corporate sector, gaining over eight years of experience working with MNCs in various roles, including financial advisor, customer service representative, and technical specialist. In addition to my corporate experience, I have also worked as a freelance voice-over artist.

In April 2024, I joined Solved as a Tech Specialist, where I continue to refine my skills and expertise. Throughout my career, I have been committed to continuous learning and self-improvement. I enjoy experimenting with new approaches to enhance efficiency and organization, ensuring that my work remains structured and effective.

Eduardo started his professional journey as a Software Engineering student, specializing in areas like software development, data analysis, and cybersecurity. He worked as a Cybersecurity Consultant at EY for a year, focusing on risk analysis, incident management, and compliance. Currently, Eduardo is part of SOLVED Consulting, where he drives data management and analysis to support strategic decision-making. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, exploring gastronomy, and staying active through sports.

Melisa began her journey in technology while studying, exploring different fields that never fully resonated with her. In 2022, she joined the SOLVED team, where she finally found her place in the Apps Team. Guided by her passion for organization, she eventually took on the role of Tech Lead, using her analytical skills and attention to detail to make data-driven decisions. She is committed to improving workflows and cross-team collaboration to develop and adapt innovative solutions that help our partners.

Outside of work, Melisa can be found reading under a cozy blanket, curled up with her two cats, enjoying a peaceful walk by the sea, surrounded by music, or spending quality time with family and friends.

Yash is a skilled Data Specialist with expertise in data analysis, dashboard development, and database management. With a master's degree in commerce, he successfully transitioned into the field of data analytics, leveraging his analytical mindset to drive data-driven decision-making. Passionate about continuous learning and personal growth, Yash actively seeks opportunities to expand his skill set and stay ahead in the evolving field of data analytics. Beyond his professional pursuits, Yash is passionate about fitness and actively engages in sports like volleyball and cricket. He has also led his school’s volleyball team as captain. An avid traveler, he enjoys exploring new destinations and experiencing diverse cultures.

Lakhan is a Salesforce Developer with almost three years of experience . He specializes in Apex, LWC, and integrations, helping businesses improve their processes. He holds three Salesforce certifications and has worked on automation, third-party integrations, and custom workflows. In his free time, he enjoys teaching, writing, and exploring AI.

Ranjeet Singh is a dedicated Data Specialist with a Master’s degree in Economics and Finance Management, complemented by a certification in Data Analytics and Data Modeling. With over 1.5+ years of experience, he applies his analytical expertise to uncover insights and support data-driven decision-making. A practical and hands-on professional, Ranjeet enjoys problem-solving and optimizing data processes. Outside of work, he has a deep passion for gardening and cricket, finding joy in both nurturing plants and playing on the field.

With a background in Industrial and Production Engineering, Shailendra began his career as a Supply Chain Engineer at Force Motors Ltd, leveraging his Six Sigma Green Belt certification and EOHS expertise. He later transitioned into software development as a full-stack developer, building mobile applications, managing backend development, and gaining hands-on experience with AWS services. At Solved, Shailendra specializes in dashboard UI development, backend development, and AWS infrastructure. Outside of work, he enjoys listening to music and exploring new places.

Scott studied Computing and Business Management at university before beginning his career as a high school and college teacher. He later became Head of Department for Computing, Business, and Science, where he developed a strong interest in student analytics. He has designed systems to help teachers, school districts, and third-party institutions use data more effectively to support better classroom decisions. This experience led him to focus on building administrative data systems full-time, specializing in the Salesforce platform, where he has over a decade of experience and certifications. Scott has contributed to tools that streamline processes for educators and improve student outcomes. Outside of work, he enjoys travel photography and has a keen interest in music.

Ce’Kayia is a CRM & UX/UI Designer, based just outside of Atlanta, Georgia. With years of experience in early childhood education, she developed a keen ability to create engaging, structured environments—skills she now applies to designing intuitive digital solutions for schools. Her background in business administration and UX design enables her to bridge the gap between technology and education, fostering strong partnerships and enhancing school technology. Outside of work, Ce’Kayia enjoys running, painting, binge-watching TV shows, and recently discovering the world of cozy gaming. She also loves a good jigsaw or logic puzzle!

Kelvin earned a Bachelor's degree in Arts with a specialization in Graphic Design and has over 8 years of experience in the field. He joined SOLVED as part of the design team, where he contributes his expertise and creative ideas to deliver innovative graphic solutions while staying up to date with the latest design trends.
Outside of work, Kelvin enjoys playing video games, taking walks with his dog, and spending time with friends.

Jasmine Robinson is a former college basketball player turned UX/UI designer passionate about creating intuitive and user-friendly designs. Jasmine combines her creative problem-solving skills with a deep understanding of design principles to deliver visually appealing and functional solutions. Specializing in conceptualizing, planning, and executing diverse design projects, she thrives on translating ideas into impactful, aesthetic outcomes.

Thaís is a skilled video editor and multimedia producer from Brazil with over 10 years of experience in the audiovisual industry. She holds a degree in Multimedia Production, an MBA in Marketing, and is completing her second degree, a bachelor’s in Film —blending creativity and strategy to produce engaging content. Specializing in educational, social media, and documentary videos, Thaís believes in the power of storytelling to inspire and connect people. Curious and always eager to learn, she’s constantly growing her skills. Outside of work Thais enjoys traveling, reading, and watching great movies.

Mandy is a filmmaker and photographer based in Brooklyn, NY. She studied directing at Brooklyn College’s Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema where she completed her award-winning film Cousins. After grad school Mandy worked as a cultural strategist at Instagram and a freelance creative strategist at Schaaf Agency before transitioning to videography and photography with SOLVED. Mandy enjoys bringing her love of visual storytelling and relationship building to the SOLVED Video and Photo team. Outside of work Mandy enjoys going to the movies, karaoke and watching soccer (go Arsenal!)

Nathalie is a Video Editor and Motion Designer based in Barranquilla, Colombia. She is a self-learner and have been in the field for over 5+ years, working from small to big projects like the Uncommon Sense Teaching course by Dr. Barbara Oakley live in Coursera.Nathalie enjoys bringing ideas to life and she’s always looking for new challenges. When she is not editing or animating, she loves to photograph everything, loves crunchy food (specially nachos) and cooking, watching movies/series that bring some spark for her creativity, and listen to new and old music. And she loves animals and nature too!

Rikki Porter is a Southern California native, who currently resides in Brooklyn, New York. She is an alumna of Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema, where she obtained her MFA in Cinematography. Rikki’s eclectic and outstanding work as a Director of Photography includes several short films, documentaries, and experimental films. In 2019, her work was on display in the short film, Good News. The film was honored at the 57th New York Film Festival and acknowledged at the Maryland Film Festival.

Aside from her expertise as a Cinematographer, Rikki has an extensive background in lighting, sound, and electronic music. In her spare time, Rikki is an avid rock climber. She has combined both of her passions when asked to shoot videos for outdoor rock climbing events. Her other pastimes are drawing and graphic design.

After nearly 20 years in education and leadership in his home town of Melbourne, Australia, Damian moved to NYC in 2015 with a aim of assisting schools in their implementation of a nation-wide curriculum . Specializing in professional development and instructional coaching, Damian has worked closely with educators across the city to implement the Next Generation Math Learning Standards and improve student outcomes from Pre-K through Grade 8. Throughout Damian's career, he has focused on fostering relationships with schools to  leverage data-driven strategies and supporting teachers in tailoring instruction to meet diverse student needs. His expertise extends to designing innovative workshops, mentoring educators, and using data to drive instruction.

Now at SOLVED, she loves collaborating with teachers and principals, finding ways to make their jobs a little easier. Passionate about building connections and sharing ideas, Jenn believes that teamwork and thoughtful solutions can create meaningful change. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking (ok, mostly eating), traveling, and sharing belly-laughs with friends.

With 18 years in education, Krystal has taught at both the elementary and secondary levels of mathematics before moving into administration. She holds degrees from Texas A&M University and the University of Texas at Arlington, along with multiple teaching and leadership certifications. Recognized with numerous awards for her dedication to students and excellence in teaching, she is passionate about supporting educators and school leaders. In her free time, she enjoys attending concerts, crocheting, solving puzzles, and a good cup of coffee.

Jake, aka Dr. K., is a dedicated professional with a strong academic foundation and extended experience teaching mathematics and mathematics education courses from Grades 6 - 16+. Leveraging his expertise, a commitment to excellence, and a good-natured demeanor, Jake has built a reputation for insightful analysis, innovative problem-solving, and a collaborative approach to complex challenges. His work reflects a passion for research, critical thinking, and improving pedagogical practices. I began my career as a banker, later explored entrepreneurship, and eventually became an executive assistant specializing in administrative tasks. Now, I enjoy the flexibility of working from home, supporting teams with admin work and contributing to their success. Outside of my professional life, I love exploring cozy cafes, traveling to new places, and spending quality time with my nephew and cats. My journey reflects a balance between professional growth and personal passions.
